Service stars are given to Scouts and Leaders during the Blue and Gold banquet to recognize their participation in Scouting. Tiger Cubs receive a 1-year star with an orange backing. Cub Scouts receive the appropriate year star on a yellow background. Leaders receive the appropriate year star on a blue background. Although a Scout may have participated in the Tiger Cub program for a year, they will receive the 1-year pin during their anniversary in Cub Scouts. Only the current year service star is to be worn on the uniform. Other service stars can be placed on the patch vest. This award is worn on the official uniform centered 3/8" above the top of the left pocket. |
